Integration of Mailchimp with Custom SMTP Support
Step 1: Obtain Mailchimp API Key
1. Log in to Mailchimp:
Initiate the process by visiting the Mailchimp website and securely logging in to your account using your designated username and password.
2. Navigate to the "Account" Tab:
Once within the Mailchimp dashboard, effortlessly locate and click on the “Account” tab, conventionally situated in the top-right corner.
3. Access "API Keys" under "Extras":
Dive into the account management section, specifically under “Extras.” From the dropdown menu, select “API keys” to embark on the API key generation process.
4. Generate a New API Key:

5. Copy and Save the API Key:
As the API key is generated, it will be presented on-screen. Safeguard this key by copying it to your clipboard or noting it down securely. This API key will play a pivotal role in subsequent integrations.
6. Optional: Label Your API Key:
Step 2: Access SMTP Settings
In Your Application:
Navigate to your application or email marketing platform and pinpoint the section designated for “Custom SMTP Settings” or its equivalent configuration area.
Step 3: Enter Mailchimp SMTP Details
1. Within Custom SMTP Settings:
- SMTP Server: smtp.mailchimp.com
- Port: Choose port 587 or adhere to Mailchimp’s recommended port for secure email transmission.
- Username: Enter your Mailchimp username.
- Password: Input the API key generated in Step
Step 4: Authentication
1. Enable Authentication:
Activate the authentication feature within the SMTP settings to ensure the security and legitimacy of your Mailchimp connection.
2. Use Provided Mailchimp Credentials:
